Speaking on the data center Infrastructure transformation concerns, Chris Kelly, Vice President - Infrastructure Solutions Group (Asia Pacific) - DELL TECHNOLOGIES says, “We are helping our customers and partners to develop a competitive advantage through the use of IT and moving forward with this panacea of the flexible, scalable architecture also giving them open architecture with industry standard choice.”
In the era of the growth of data centre, we are focusing a strong growth in the multi cloud strategy. When it comes down to the edge with the data consumption era, Chris says, “When I look at some of the statistics around the world, the vast majority of the data that sits out there is not actually being acted, analyzed, and then acted upon where the data is not being used to its full potential.”
He further added. “For this we are developing a strategy to go for edge to the core to the multi cloud environment. It is an ability to give the customers both, it will give the support of interoperability and consistency of management and orchestration through those layers and at the same time it will increase the compute capability at the edge so that they can analyse and act upon the data in the real time.
Responding to how Dell Technologies is seeing India as the destination opportunity, Chris explains, “We are seeing a lot of opportunity from the governments around smart cities. Growth of IoT is also seeing a double digit growth. There is a level of interest and initial investment that is taking place in India right now in the areas where we are interacting with the partner and customer ecosystem. In those sectors including big data and analytics, brings a strong opportunity in the Indian market.”
Chris concluded, “We are addressing one of the top concerns of the CIOs at the moment that is security risk and security threats. So we have to make sure on managing that environment to drive digital transformation for our customers.”
