Shailesh Goswami, CEO & Founder, Foyr in an interview with VARINDIA tells more about his company and how it is positioned in the construction & architecture industry -                                                                                                                                                                                   

Please tell us more about Foyr.com and the services you provide?

At Foyr our mission is to solve real life problems through technology, innovation and design. It defines our business, our culture and the kind of work we are passionate about. We are a varied lot of thinkers and doers, continually rethinking what’s possible to help us all do what we love in new ways. We always do our jobs knowing that we can achieve great things when many people work together. Our Technology applying, we help architects and interior professionals all around the globe, shape and showcase their ideas in a truly immersive and collaborative way right out of their favourite 3D software. Our footprint at Singapore is a measure of both our vision and our scope on the global stage.

We have 4 offerings, each individually targeted at architects, builders, leasing agents and furniture & furnishing manufacturers -

1. For Architects/ Designers, we offer next generation design visualization presentation and collaboration offering called Magik-Tour.

2. For commercial/ office space designing, we offer instant, immersive test-fit solution called office 3D.

3. For Builders/ Developers, we offer a virtual site explorer, immersive walkthrough and booking engine- called storyteller.

4. For furniture manufacturers, we offer a dynamic, easy to use design tool called Magik-Room which is pre built with their catalogue.

How many clients do you cater to at present and what has been the response from them for the solutions & services you offer?

We have around 150 paying customers and Architects, Interior Designers, Builders & Commercial brokers as our clients. The response has been good so far.

Which are the key markets for you where you are working at present?

We are currently operating in two countries- India and Singapore. In India we are functioning in major cities like Hyderabad- which is our head office, Mumbai, Jaipur, Bangalore and Pune. We want to expand rapidly to the new geographies outside India and that is the thing which is taking a little bit of more time in converting but we are sure with our products & services and team’s hard work we will be able to achieve that very soon.

What has been the rate of technology adoption in the construction and the architecture industry? How has VR and 3D changed the way customers are served in this space?

Initially the adoption rate of technology in the construction and the architecture industry was not very great but in the last few years it has emerged very well.

3D visualization technology and Virtual Reality has changed the way customers are served in this space. With the help of this upgraded technology, it has become very convenient for the Customers that without wasting their time and money they can get the exact idea of their desired property. It can also offer the experience of completed interiors to give viewers an idea of the atmosphere of the spaces, colour palettes and even lighting choices. This technology is not only helping buyers but also the interior designers and architects in shaping and showcasing their ideas and giving their customer’s a distinctive, compelling 3D experience.

What are your expansion plans with regards to touching more geographies and markets?

Our addressable target market size is over USD 6 BN.  We have grown 300 percent in 2017 and we plan to grow at the same speed in 2018 as well. We are currently operating in two countries- India and Singapore and expecting to cover the geographies of UK & US by the end of next year.

Foyr.com has recently raised investment through Series-A funding. What will be your roadmap going ahead?

We have been growing 300% y-o-y for the last two years and plan to grow at similar pace for the next two years as well. We aspire to be a $100MN revenue company in five years from now.
