Websense has expanded its global footprint to offer cloud based Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions to Indian companies, facilitating locally hosted security solutions necessary for data compliance. This new facility supports cloud and hybrid web security as well as cloud and hybrid email security, delivering protection within the country.
This announcement is to offer Indian customers a highly scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure with multiple ISP connections, and redundant power and cooling so there is no single point of failure. Email is routed to a least two datacenters and sufficient capacity is maintained to handle traffic even in the event of natural disaster causing a catastrophic failure of a data center, providing a 99.999% availability service level agreement.
