Wipro Systems & Technology(NYSE:WIT) has launched AMD Opteron processor-based servers - Wipro netPower O1511.
According to Wipro Technologies, the AMD-based server is designed to deliver better performance and data security to SMEs, testing and retail enterprises. It is available in two variants. One is the Quad core AMD Opteron 3250 model and the other one is eight-core AMD Opteron 3280 model. Both of them have a drive capacity of 500 GB along with AMD SR 5650 AND SP5100 memory slots.

Wipro’s netPower O1511 running on quad-core processor is priced as low as Rs.30,000 and the server powered by 8-core processor is priced at Rs.38,000.
