September marked the entry of Cyberoam, the security division of Elitecore Technology, in the home networking with the launch of NetGenie. The launch was followed by redefining the tier-II partner base under distributor. This level of partners would comprise of System Integrators who are catering to SOHO, SMB and Government verticals. Not only this, it would also have master resellers who would take care of the entire city. "We established these new breed of partners called master resellers in the 20 identified cities across the country. The first phase covered the top 12 fastest-growing cities. The second phase would cover next eight cities," Bishwajit Sutradhar, National Sales Manager, NetGenie.
The next big thing the company has initiated is the creation of "Experience zones". This actually targets the Laptop sellers because they cater to the mobile customers. "Here, the customers would get the feel of the use of NetGenie, and the same counter can be used for buying too," he added.
As of now, there is only one "NetGenie Experience zone" operational in Mumbai, but soon it would be unveiled in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata. "From February onwards, we would speed up the process and expect to create such100 experience zones across the country," Sutradhar informed.
To keep the partner in the festive mood, they announced an attractive gift. "The national scheme, launched in the festive season of New year and Christmas, is exclusively for the partners and resellers working on the NetGenie Home and SoHo devices. Cyberoam has ensured a gift worth Rs.500 on every NetGenie device for the channel. With such schemes, we will ensure the motivation of the people working with us closely and at the same time ensure their bottom and top-line," he said.
Partners' feedback
From day one, the company claims to have been supporting their partners in terms of good product range and training to reach customers better and make better margins. Their recent launch of NetGenie is much appreciated by the partners. "Becoming a Cyberoam NetGenie partner gives our partners a unique portfolio with the first-of-its-kind offering for home and small office users, helping them create a new line of growth with increasing revenues and margins. This product is all set to create a new niche in the Wi-Fi router market and will benefit from Cyberoam's strong brand pull in the UTM market," Sutradhar further added.
