The company, backed by a Rs 12,035 crore Phase-I plan and an OSAT unit, expands its semiconductor reach through a strategic AMB Taiwan partnership, securing its first-mover advantage
RRP Electronics, Maharashtra’s pioneering state-approved semiconductor facility, has successfully exported its first consignment of ASICS-based (Application-Specific Integrated Circuits) technologies to a European client, valued at approximately Rs 6.51 crore.
The company, equipped with a fully operational Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Testing (OSAT) unit, is advancing its expansion under the Rs 12,035 crore Phase-I state-approved plan. With a strategic collaboration with AMB Taiwan, RRP has solidified its first-mover advantage, laying the groundwork for expanded offerings.
A specialized AMB Taiwan team is set to arrive in April to complete the proof of concept for SIM card modules, further tapping into emerging market opportunities. Additionally, RRP aims to expand into IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) and MOSFET (Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor) production.
Parallel to its expansion, RRP is setting up a Deca Technologies advanced packaging foundry to supply Apple iPhone components, alongside an Overhead Hoist Transport (OHT) facility to qualify for multinational contracts via Deca Technologies USA.
Venturing into the automotive sector, RRP Electronics is also making strides in Analog device manufacturing, promising significant job creation and economic growth under the Make in India initiative.See What’s Next in Tech With the Fast Forward Newsletter
