Rubrik announced Rubrik Security Cloud Sovereign, a new offering designed to give global organizations complete control over their data as national security and regulatory requirements intensify.
The solution allows customers to maintain control over where data resides and who has access to it as regulations evolve, addressing growing concerns about foreign access to sensitive information.
"Our customers have been clear about what they need," said Anneka Gupta, Chief Product Officer at Rubrik. "They want certainty that no foreign entity, whether government or vendor, can access or control their data. For those managing sensitive data, sovereignty isn't optional - it's fundamental."
Rubrik Security Cloud Sovereign includes several key capabilities. The platform operates all components—including data, metadata, control plane, and management—within customer-designated data boundaries to ensure they remain under the chosen jurisdiction.
The offering provides immutable protection for critical data with advanced capabilities to protect and recover workloads across on-premises, cloud, and SaaS environments. The immutability feature prevents encryption, deletion, or alteration even when adversaries gain elevated access to systems.
The solution also includes sovereign-compatible threat detection, delivering sophisticated analytics, threat hunting, and automated anomaly identification that operates entirely within customer environments without compromising data sovereignty.
Rubrik is offering multiple deployment options spanning sovereign cloud providers and on-premises infrastructure to accommodate different organizational requirements.
Early access to Rubrik Security Cloud Sovereign is available for select customers, with broader availability coming soon. The announcement marks progress on the company's data sovereignty roadmap and commitment to helping organizations secure their posture against both foreign and domestic adversaries.
