15 Italian tourists in Delhi tested positive for Coronavirus

With the widespread of Coronavirus, the count has now reached nearly 30. As per recent report an employee working with Paytm has been tested with Coronavirus. The employee is said to have returned from Italy trip. The person is said to have been admitted in Safdarjung hospital and is also receiving appropriate treatment.

The government on Wednesday said 15 Italian tourists have tested positive for coronavirus. The group of Italian tourists has been quarantined at an ITBP facility in New Delhi. This is in addition to the Italian tourist who was tested positive earlier.

The development comes a day after an Italian tourist in Jaipur was tested positive for coronavirus and his wife showed initial symptoms of the virus. The wife has now been tested positive for Covid-19, taking the total number of positive cases to 15 today.

Earlier in the day, the All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi confirmed the fresh cases. All 15 Italian tourists and the Indian driver have been kept at the ITBP facility at Chhawla. They have been kept in preventive isolation since Tuesday afternoon.

So far, 438 persons in India have been reported as suspects, of which 225 have completed 28 days of surveillance and 189 are still under observation. At least 89 people have been kept in isolation. Out of 118 tested, 103 have been found negative and results of 14 are awaited, an official release said.
