Two of the most requested updates for iPhone users, Apple Intelligence and call recording, are finally a reality now, as the Cupertino-based tech giant has launched the highly anticipated iOS 18.1, packed with a range of new features, including these standout additions, aimed at enhancing the user experience. With iOS 18.1, users can now easily record calls, which are also transcribed in real-time by Apple Intelligence.
To record a call, iPhone users simply need to update to iOS 18.1 via Settings > Software Update, then follow these steps:
· Start or answer a call, then tap the record button in the top-left corner.
· An audible notification will play to inform all participants that the call is being recorded, ensuring transparency.
· If Apple Intelligence is enabled, a real-time transcription appears on the screen, supporting multiple languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Portuguese.
After the call, the recording is saved in the Voice Notes app, and Apple Intelligence generates a summary of key points, making it easy to revisit important details.
Apple Intelligence, on the other hand, is an AI-driven suite that includes a Writing Assistant designed to enhance text composition in Mail, Messages, and Notes. This tool offers features for rewriting, proofreading, and adjusting tone, delivering tailored suggestions to meet diverse communication requirements.
Another major update is Siri’s enhanced conversational abilities, offering a more interactive experience. Siri now remembers previous commands and seamlessly handles follow-up questions. Users can switch between voice and text inputs, providing more flexibility across Apple devices, including CarPlay. These updates make Siri more efficient for multitasking and hands-free use.
With iOS 18.1, Apple has raised the bar on functionality, delivering features designed to enhance convenience, productivity, and accessibility for users worldwide.
