Supported by the Department of Science and Technology through the National Quantum Mission (NQM), QNu Labs has led the way in homegrown quantum technology innovation since its founding at IIT Madras Research Park in 2016
Bengaluru-based quantum cybersecurity startup QNu Labs has unveiled QShield, an advanced cryptography management platform designed to secure data across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. The announcement coincided with World Quantum Day and marks a significant stride in India's journey toward quantum-safe digital infrastructure.
Backed by the Department of Science and Technology under the National Quantum Mission (NQM), QNu Labs has been at the forefront of indigenous quantum technology development since its inception at the IIT Madras Research Park in 2016.
QShield brings together QNu Labs’ core innovations — including Armos (Quantum Key Distribution), Tropos (Quantum Random Number Generator), and a Quantum Hardware Security Module (QHSM). It also integrates post-quantum cryptography solutions aligned with global NIST standards, ensuring data protection both in transit and at rest.
Modular suite for quantum security
The platform features a modular suite comprising Qosmos for quantum key generation, QConnect for secure communication, QVerse for collaborative tools, QSFS for encrypted file storage and sharing, and QVault for key lifecycle management. It offers unified control, multiple deployment options, and seamless integration with third-party services.
QShield’s launch reflects the NQM’s broader vision of bolstering India’s cybersecurity resilience in the quantum era. By enabling quantum-resistant encryption, QNu Labs aims to future-proof critical systems against emerging cyber threats posed by quantum computing advancements.
With the unveiling of QShield, QNu Labs continues to contribute to national efforts in building homegrown capabilities in quantum technologies, reinforcing India’s position in the global cybersecurity landscape.
