Infosys Foundation’s new initiative offers specialised training in AI, machine learning, digital marketing, finance, and workplace skills like communication and interview preparation, aiming to boost employability and align talent with evolving industry demands
Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic arm of IT giant Infosys, has announced the launch of the Infosys Springboard Livelihood Program, a ₹200 crore initiative aimed at helping five lakh job seekers across India secure meaningful employment by 2030.
The program leverages Infosys Springboard, the company’s digital learning platform, to offer skill development and career-readiness training that goes beyond academic learning. It targets both graduates and undergraduates and covers a broad range of industries in both STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and non-STEM fields.
The initiative provides specialised training in high-demand technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, while also equipping learners with skills in digital marketing, finance, communication, time management, and interview preparation. These modules are designed to enhance employability and meet the evolving demands of modern workplaces.
Skilling India for AI future
In the current financial year alone, the program has successfully placed more than 80,000 candidates into various roles across industries, according to Infosys.
To execute the initiative on the ground, Infosys Foundation has partnered with nearly 20 implementation organisations, including ICT Academy, Magic Bus, NIIT Foundation, Unnati, Nirmaan, Centum, CII Foundation, and Aga Khan Rural Support Programme. These partners will help identify employment opportunities and guide participants through structured career paths.
Sumit Virmani, Trustee of Infosys Foundation, highlighted the program’s long-term vision: “India’s greatest opportunity lies in equipping its workforce with relevant skills to meet the challenges of the AI age. Our mission is to translate learning into livelihoods.”
The initiative reinforces Infosys Foundation’s commitment to creating inclusive and sustainable economic growth through education and skilling.
