NxtGen integrates Akash Systems’ Diamond Cooling technology with NVIDIA H200 GPU servers, enhancing AI compute density, energy efficiency, and reducing operational costs, marking a significant milestone in India’s sovereign AI infrastructure journey.
NxtGen has announced the deployment of the world’s first NVIDIA H200 GPU servers integrated with Akash Systems’ patented Diamond Cooling technology. This innovation enables higher compute density, sustained peak performance, and lower total cost of ownership for enterprise AI workloads. Originally developed for space-grade satellites, Diamond Cooling is five times more thermally conductive than copper and eliminates thermal throttling, allowing GPUs to operate efficiently even at ambient temperatures up to 50°C. This breakthrough is particularly beneficial for AI data centers in India and other warm-climate regions.
“At NxtGen, we are architecting India’s most advanced sovereign AI infrastructure,” said A.S. Rajgopal, MD & CEO of NxtGen. “The deployment of Diamond-Cooled NVIDIA H200 servers increases usable compute per watt and per rack, supporting structural efficiency and enabling higher performance while lowering long-term infrastructure costs.”
Boosting efficiency and enterprise AI readiness
The Diamond-cooled servers deliver notable performance gains, including lower GPU hotspot temperatures for improved thermal stability, a 15 percent increase in FLOPs per watt, and enhanced usable compute output by eliminating thermal throttling. Throttle-free operation in high ambient temperatures ensures uninterrupted performance under heavy AI training and inference workloads. Dr. Felix Ejeckam, Co-Founder & CEO of Akash Systems, added that Diamond Cooling addresses critical constraints in AI infrastructure, improving both energy and capital efficiency, and that partnering with NxtGen on this world-first deployment is transformative for the sector.
By integrating this technology, NxtGen advances its priorities of achieving higher AI compute density, greater energy efficiency at scale, and reduced total cost of ownership. Its platform unifies GPU architectures from NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel, offering optimized AI model hosting with sovereign data residency and compliance. As AI adoption accelerates across government, BFSI, healthcare, manufacturing, and digital enterprises, high-performance infrastructure is becoming a key differentiator, positioning NxtGen at the forefront of energy-efficient, scalable, next-generation AI factories in India.
