At CES 2026, Samsung outlined its ‘Companion to AI Living’ vision, positioning artificial intelligence as the core of its connected ecosystem spanning TVs, appliances, wearables and services to deliver more personalised, proactive everyday experiences.
Samsung Electronics has unveiled its long-term artificial intelligence roadmap, branded as “Companion to AI Living,” at its CES 2026 event, The First Look, held in Las Vegas. The company positioned AI not as a standalone feature, but as a unifying philosophy underpinning product development, services and user experience across its ecosystem.
TM Roh, CEO and Head of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division, said the company’s strength lies in its vast network of connected, AI-enabled devices. By embedding intelligence across smartphones, displays, home appliances and services, Samsung aims to transform everyday interactions into more intuitive and meaningful experiences for users.
AI-powered entertainment and displays
Samsung showcased a new generation of AI-driven displays designed to function as full-fledged entertainment companions. Central to the lineup is the 130-inch Micro RGB TV, which features individually controlled RGB micro light sources for enhanced colour accuracy and picture depth, supported by the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro.
The company also introduced Vision AI Companion (VAC), which enables context-aware recommendations for content, music and even food, while supporting voice-based controls across Samsung’s TV portfolio. New viewing modes such as AI Soccer Mode Pro and advanced sound controls further personalise entertainment experiences.
Samsung expanded its audio ecosystem with new WiFi speakers and unveiled updated OLED TVs, portable projectors and gaming monitors, including a 6K Odyssey G9. All 2026 TVs will support HDR10+ ADVANCED, Eclipsa Audio and up to seven years of Tizen OS upgrades.
Smart homes and proactive care
In home appliances, Samsung highlighted its shift from smart devices to “home companions.” SmartThings now serves over 430 million users globally, enabling deeper insights into household habits. AI-powered refrigerators with upgraded AI Vision, laundry solutions, robotic cleaners and garment care devices were showcased as part of this connected ecosystem.
Samsung also outlined its ambitions in digital health, focusing on proactive care through wearables and connected devices. AI-driven health insights, early detection of potential issues and secure data sharing are central to this vision, supported by Samsung Knox security.
