Security should be treated as a design principle, not an afterthought, says Rajesh. “As data becomes more distributed across cloud environments, organizations need consistent governance, identity management, encryption, and continuous visibility across workloads. Equally important is selecting the right cloud architecture. Different workloads have different security and compliance requirements. While customer-facing applications may benefit from the scalability of the public cloud, sensitive financial data or regulated workloads may be better suited to private or hybrid cloud environments.”
