Adobe has introduced a new YouTube Shorts creation space inside the Premiere mobile app, offering exclusive templates, AI-driven editing tools and instant publishing features designed to help creators produce high-quality short videos more efficiently.
Adobe and YouTube have announced a significant collaboration aimed at streamlining the production of short-form video content, a format that continues to dominate global viewing trends. With YouTube Shorts now generating more than 200 billion daily views, the companies say creators increasingly need simpler, faster and more powerful tools to keep up with rising demand.
Dedicated Shorts space launches inside Premiere mobile
As part of the partnership, Adobe has rolled out a new creation space for YouTube Shorts within the Premiere mobile app. The feature gives creators access to a curated set of exclusive transitions, effects, title presets and ready-made templates tailored specifically for vertical short-video formats.
The space is designed to allow both emerging and established YouTubers to produce polished videos quickly. Users can select templates, customise their layouts, remix their media with trending effects and publish content directly to YouTube Shorts with just a few taps.
Advanced editing and AI tools integrated for creators
Beyond templates, the updated Premiere mobile experience includes expanded editing capabilities. Creators can work on an unlimited multi-track timeline for precise cuts, add layered audio tracks and adjust text, colour and brightness within the app. Adobe has also added studio-grade voice improvement features such as Enhance Speech, plus AI-generated sound elements through Generative Sound Effects.
Firefly-powered AI features allow users to create unique visual assets and elevate the overall look of their videos, while personalised templates can be saved and reused for faster content production in the future.
Templates Gallery and direct publishing to YouTube
A refreshed YouTube Shorts Templates Gallery provides creators with a growing set of designs that include built-in effects and transitions. These templates can be customised and uploaded directly to YouTube, enabling creators to maintain visual consistency and tap into emerging trends.
The companies say the partnership aims to give every creator—whether documenting daily life, sharing travel clips or offering behind-the-scenes content—a faster path to producing high-quality Shorts and building their audience across YouTube’s global platform.
