Advait Infratech Limited has been awarded the nation’s first green hydrogen project of its kind. The end client for this project is THDC India Limited, a leading power sector and profit-making public sector enterprise. The project is set to be inaugurated at the end of this month.
THDCIL is registered as a public limited company under the Companies Act, 1956, and was conferred with the ‘Mini Ratna–Category-I Status in Oct-09 and up-graded to Schedule ‘A’ PSU in July-10 by the Govt. of India.

This pilot project is aimed at demonstrating the feasibility of using hydrogen as a medium for storing renewable electricity. Advait Infratech Limited will set up a 300KW electrolyzer and a 70KW fuel cell, which will generate 70KW of electricity for continuous 12 hours. This electricity will be used for the illumination purpose of THDC India Limited's premises and to supply electricity to their residential apartments. The project will store excess electricity generated from the solar panels on-site in the form of hydrogen, which can be used later when the demand for electricity exceeds the supply.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2023 and will be a major milestone in India’s journey toward a sustainable and low-carbon future.
