The latest operating system update focuses on strengthening data sovereignty, application-level privacy and transparency, giving Ai+ Smartphone users greater visibility into background activity, permissions and the movement of application data across connected services.
Ai+ Smartphone has rolled out NxtQuantum OS v1.1, introducing a series of privacy and security enhancements designed to give users greater control over application access to device resources and personal information.
A key focus of the update is NxtQuantum’s sovereign data boundary, under which application data traffic is routed through infrastructure hosted within India. The company said its security framework automatically analyses source rules across more than 1,000 connections and 172 unique destination IPs to strengthen network perimeter protection.
According to Ai+, all application data traffic and IP pings remain within India, while external connections are restricted to essential Google core services routed to California and Singapore. These connections are required for standard operating system functions. The company said the approach is designed to strengthen data integrity and protect user information under the NxtQuantum OS framework.
NxtPrivacy Dashboard brings permissions together
NxtQuantum OS v1.1 also introduces the NxtPrivacy Dashboard, providing users with a centralised interface for managing application permissions. Through the dashboard, users can review, change or revoke permissions associated with applications and gain better visibility into how apps interact with device resources and personal data.
The update further adds improved visibility into background activity. This enables users to understand when applications access sensitive device resources while they are not actively being used.
Privacy alerts are another addition, helping users identify permissions that could be excessive, unnecessary or no longer relevant. The feature is intended to encourage more informed decisions about application access and personal privacy.

Expanding transparency around product security
Ai+ said the new features form part of NxtQuantum’s wider approach to developing a technology platform where privacy, security and user control are incorporated throughout the software experience.
The company is also extending its transparency efforts through Project Open Review 2.0. The initiative allows reviewers, creators, journalists, technology enthusiasts and ethical hackers to independently evaluate Ai+ devices and share feedback before products are officially launched.
With NxtQuantum OS v1.1, Ai+ is seeking to make privacy management more visible and accessible to users while strengthening the controls governing application permissions and data movement. The update also reflects the company’s broader focus on combining device functionality with greater transparency around privacy and security.
