The new Apple Creator Studio subscription brings together Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro and other professional tools with AI-powered features, aiming to simplify access for creators working across video, music and design.
Apple has announced Apple Creator Studio, a new subscription service that consolidates its professional creative software into a single plan, marking a significant shift in how the company packages its pro tools. The service will be available through the App Store starting January 28 and is targeted at creators working across video production, music creation, image editing and design.
By combining multiple apps that were earlier sold separately, Apple is positioning Creator Studio as a more accessible entry point into its creative ecosystem, particularly for users who operate across multiple creative disciplines.
One plan for Apple’s pro creative ecosystem
Apple Creator Studio includes Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro across both Mac and iPad. On Mac, the bundle also offers Motion, Compressor and MainStage, covering advanced motion graphics, video delivery workflows and live performance setups.
Apple said the subscription model is designed to reduce friction for creators who rely on multiple tools, while still allowing customers to purchase individual Mac apps outright if they prefer one-time licences. The move aligns Apple more closely with subscription-based creative platforms while retaining flexibility for professional users.
AI-driven upgrades across video, music and design
Final Cut Pro on Mac and iPad gains several AI-powered features aimed at speeding up editing workflows. Transcript Search lets editors locate clips by typing spoken words, while Visual Search enables footage discovery based on objects or actions within scenes. A new Beat Detection tool adds a visual beat grid to help align edits with music. On iPad, Montage Maker can automatically assemble rough cuts by identifying visual highlights, with support for vertical formats optimised for social media.
Logic Pro also receives intelligent enhancements. New tools such as Synth Player generate electronic and bass performances that users can fine-tune easily, while Chord ID analyses audio or MIDI to create editable chord progressions. The Sound Library has been expanded with more royalty-free content, and iPad users gain faster comping and natural language search for sounds.
Pixelmator Pro makes its debut on iPad as part of Creator Studio, offering a touch-first interface, Apple Pencil support and seamless syncing between devices. New features include advanced masking, image upscaling, automated composition tools and a Warp function for reshaping layers, all optimised for Apple silicon.
Keynote, Pages and Numbers remain free, but subscribers gain access to premium templates, curated assets and new AI-based features such as image generation, layout clean-up and formula creation.
Pricing and availability
In India, Apple Creator Studio is priced at ₹399 per month or ₹3,999 annually, with a one-month free trial. Students and educators can subscribe at reduced rates, and Family Sharing supports up to six users. Apple is also offering up to three months of free access with select new Mac and iPad purchases.
