It is brighter times for electronic security and surveillance firms in India thanks to the increase in demand from government and private establishments who are all set to strengthen their security infrastructure to ward off terror threats. According to research and consulting firm Frost and Sullivan, the $650 million Indian electronic security and surveillance market which includes video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection and metal detectors is expected to witness a 20-22% compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) till 2016.
The very mention of network video brings to mind the name of Sweden-based security company Axis Communications. The company provides IP-based network video solutions including network cameras (IP cameras) and video encoders for security surveillance and remote monitoring.

Last year, Axis has recently partnered with India's largest coffee retail chain, Café Coffee Day (CCD). Axis' has already installed 1000 physical security solutions at over 500 CCD outlets in India.
