Today BJP's official website is hacked and No hacker group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. An official response from the party is awaited. Expected a DDos attack , but Interestingly, according to some reports, the website showed derogatory language and photographs of PM Narendra Modi. While the BJP has not issued any official statement, the hacking assumes importance on the backdrop of ongoing tension between India and Pakistan.
Most recently, a bunch of Indian government websites were hacked by Pakistan-based hackers. In the present case, however, the information regarding alleged hackers is yet unknown. According to a report by Hindi news website, the website showed a video of PM Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel along with unparliamentary messages when it was accessed by the publication at about 11.30 am. Some reports also suggested that a Bohemian Rhapsody meme was visible on the website. Shortly afterwards, the website became inaccessible and showed the Error 522 message.
We are not being able to view the memes and derogatory messages put on the website. On February 20, BJP's Chhattisgarh website was reportedly hacked. Congress party's social media in charge Divya Spandana took to Twitter and said, "Bhaiya aur Bhehno if you’re not looking at the BJP website right now- you’re missing out."
The site was still down and the IT cell is working on the same at the time of filling the story . It mentions, "We’ll be back soon! Sorry for the inconvenience but we’re performing some maintenance at the moment. we’ll be back online shortly!"
