BlackBerry 10 will be the answer of what the future of mobile computing will be
Today, millions of customers around the world use BlackBerry products and services to stay connected with each other and content that matter most throughout their day. Credited with ushering in the era of "mobile computing', the company has gone through several evolutionary transitions and is today the preferred Smartphone of choice in many parts of the world. Targeted at the corporate market, it started as an exclusive manufacturer of smartphone for enterprise users before proliferating gradually into the consumer segment. It is being stated by the Tech specialists that with the introduction of BlackBerry 10 the company seems to have solidified its position as a technology leader in the evolution of Smartphone operating systems. VARINDIA talked to Prosenjit Sen, Director – Channel Sales, to know how BlackBerry 10 will help the company regain the ground which it has lost to its rivals.
Asked about the not-so-good wicket on which Balckberry finds itself, Prosenjit Sen, Director – Channel Sales, says, “Every company has its ups and downs. There is nobody who has been stable throughout. This is especially true for the mobile and telecom companies.”
Prosenjit is sure and sanguine that the launch of BlackBerry’s latest mobile computing platform BlackBerry 10 will commence the new age of mobile computing and will go a long way in regaining the ground which it has lost to its rivals. “BlackBerry 10 will be the answer of what the future of mobile computing will be,” says Prosenjit.
BlackBerry Balance
BlackBerry 10 has a series of features the company calls "BlackBerry Balance," to make both roles work well and to protect each from the other.
BlackBerry 10 phones have a series of features what proesnjit calls "BlackBerry Balance," that allows the strict line of demarcation between applications and content for personal life and those for work. This is appealing to the organizations that do not yet let employees use their own devices. If your administrator turns on BlackBerry Balance, the device data, apps, and network access are separated so that you have a work space and a personal space.
“You can separate your application and data which are related to your work. So whenever you are at work you can access those data which are required for work.” Says Prosenjit.
“In your work space, you can access your work email, contacts, and calendar, create work documents, and browse to corporate intranet sites. You can quickly switch between spaces from the home screen. You can access both personal data and work data from certain places, such as Search.”

BlackBerry has announced the introduction of new EMI Schemes, for “BlackBerry Z10” and “BlackBerry Curve 9220” devices in India. Customers can now buy the BlackBerry Z10 via their credit cards by paying an EMI of Rs.4,799/- per month for 9 months. A similar scheme for BlackBerry Curve 9220 is available where customers can use their credit card to buy the device and pay an EMI of Rs.799/- per month for 12 months.
Both the schemes have the unique feature of Rs.0 down payment, 0% processing fee and 0% interest and the plan will be rolled out in 3,000 BlackBerry outlets across the country by this weekend. On top of it, all Idea Cellular customers can avail a 1GB/month data plan on Curve 9220 at just Rs. 999/year in 8 circles including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh. The implementation of this scheme will be facilitated and overlooked by the financing companies and the carriers will have no role in the process.
The launch of this plan reasserts BlackBerry’s commitment to make smartphone experience more accessible and affordable to the masses, especially the upwardly mobile youth. The whole proposition of availing the premium experience of BlackBerry Z10 or Curve 9220 by paying a nominal EMI per month is definitely very lucrative and will definitely attract potential customers.
