BMW India President & CEO, Rudratej Singh breathed his last on Monday morning following a cardiac arrest. He had joined BMW Group in August 2019 following a stint as Global President of Royal Enfield, Eicher Motors Ltd.’s motorcycle arm.
He had earlier worked with Unilever Plc in India and international markets for over 16 years.
The cause behind the sudden and unexpected demise is yet to be ascertained, the company said, but sources confirmed that Singh suffered a massive cardiac arrest.
Singh’s death comes at a time when BMW Group India was in midst of implementing the strategic measures for strengthening its dealer network across India, the automaker said. Singh had more than 25 years of experience and held multiple leadership positions both in the automotive and non-automotive industries.
