Anuj Gupta has carved a remarkable path in the tech industry, driven by a passion for innovation and problem-solving. His career is a testament to visionary leadership and a deep commitment to using technology to transform businesses and lives.

“My journey began with an unwavering passion for problem-solving and an entrepreneurial zeal,” Gupta reflects. His entry into the tech industry was fuelled by a desire to bridge gaps between legacy systems and cutting-edge innovation. In the early stages of his career, Gupta founded Trident Infotech, a startup backed by family seed capital. “Watching it evolve into a pan-India enterprise with a 100-member team fuelled my hunger for more,” he recalls. This first venture ignited his passion for driving change on a larger scale.

Later, Gupta took the helm of Hitachi Systems India, seizing the opportunity to lead a company with vast potential for growth. Under his leadership, the company became a key player in digital transformation. “At Hitachi, we deliver more than just technology—we provide transformative solutions,” he emphasizes. His leadership, combining global expertise with a deep understanding of local markets, helped Hitachi stay ahead of emerging trends in areas like cybersecurity, cloud computing, and AI.

Gupta’s approach is rooted in a “human-first” philosophy. “We don’t just install systems; we empower businesses to maximize their potential through tailored IT solutions,” he explains. This focus on empowering organizations has been central to Hitachi’s success. Gupta’s vision led to key innovations, such as the seamless acquisition and integration of Micro Clinic, which became a pivotal part of Hitachi Systems India’s growth, strengthening its global presence and expanding its service offerings.

Gupta attributes his success to resilience, adaptability, and his focus on people. “Growth is fuelled by nurturing talent and fostering a culture of trust and collaboration,” he says. This approach proved invaluable when the COVID-19 pandemic challenged the company. Through unwavering support for both employees and clients, Hitachi emerged stronger, maintaining business continuity during turbulent times.

A significant milestone in Gupta’s career was growing Hitachi Systems from a ₹100 crore company to a ₹2445 crore industry leader. “What I cherish most is how we emerged stronger post-pandemic—fully operational and unwavering in our support,” Gupta shares. His leadership has earned accolades such as the “Business Leader of the Year” and “Visionary Leader Award.”

Looking forward, Gupta envisions Hitachi Systems becoming a global leader in innovation and sustainability. “The future belongs to those who dare to dream big,” he says.
