Corel, a leading provider of graphic design and software solutions, has taken a significant step to ensure fair pricing for its Indian customers by allowing direct purchases from the Corel Webstore.
For the past decade, the Webstore was inaccessible to Indian users, reportedly due to pressure from ARKinfo.in, Corel's distributor in India. This restriction had led to inflated prices, with CorelDRAW Perpetual licenses being sold in India for ₹84,000 plus 18% GST.
With the Webstore now accessible, Indian customers can purchase CorelDRAW Perpetual licenses directly at a much more reasonable price of ₹31,780 plus 18% GST, marking a drastic reduction of over 60%. All it shows, Corel has cracks down on overcharging in India
Secondly, this restriction had led to inflated prices, with the CorelDRAW Annual license previously sold at ₹36,750 plus 18% GST. With the Webstore now open, Indian customers can purchase the CorelDRAW Annual license directly at a significantly reduced price of ₹7,627 plus 18% GST, representing a price drop of nearly 80%.
As per the source, For years, Indian users of CorelDRAW faced inflated prices due to purchasing through local distributors. Now, with the direct availability of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2024 on the Corel Webstore, users can access the software at more competitive prices.
