
CtrlS Datacenters, Asia’s largest Rated-4 datacenter operator, has launched its new Datacenter Park in Ambattur Industrial Estate, Chennai, reinforcing India's position as a leading digital hub. Inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thiru M.K. Stalin, the facility is designed to enhance digital infrastructure, data security, and cloud services in the region.
With a direct investment of ₹4,000 crore and ₹50,000 crore in indirect investments, the project is set to generate 10,000 jobs (500 direct, 9,000 indirect). The park offers 72 MW IT load capacity, earthquake resistance (up to 7.5 on the Richter Scale), flood-proof elevation, and a dedicated 120 MW gas-insulated substation (GIS) ensuring reliable power. The facility also boasts a 9-zone security system, carrier-neutral infrastructure with four fiber entry paths, and direct cloud service provider connectivity.
CtrlS Chairman Sridhar Pinnapureddy highlighted the project’s role in strengthening India’s digital ecosystem, emphasizing cloud innovation, cybersecurity, and regional investment. The company is committed to sustainability, pursuing LEED Platinum certification and investing in renewable energy.
CtrlS operates 15 datacenters across India with a 250 MW combined IT load capacity, spanning major cities and expanding into tier-2 markets and overseas regions like Southeast Asia and the Middle East. The Chennai Datacenter Park marks a major milestone in India’s digital transformation, driving economic growth and technological advancement.
