Cyberbit recently acquired RangeForce, a move aimed at advancing AI-driven cyber range training for security operations center (SOC) and incident response teams. The acquisition unites two major players in the field, bringing together Cyberbit’s hyper-realistic attack simulations and RangeForce’s cloud-based, scalable team and solo training modules.
RangeForce is known for providing foundational training and skill-building for early-career professionals, while Cyberbit specializes in delivering complex hands-on scenarios for advanced teams. This synergy enables customers to access a robust and non-overlapping content library, covering experiences from maturing analysts to seasoned defenders.
Executives from both companies emphasized their shared mission: improving preparedness and skill sets for SOC and IR teams in facing modern cybersecurity threats. Tools such as RangeForce’s Content Studio automate the creation of training labs, while Cyberbit offers sophisticated live-fire simulations requiring manual set-ups.
The integration aims to deliver an enhanced customer experience, including unified access to both companies’ content. Mid-term priorities involve leveraging RangeForce automation to expedite the rollout of live-fire training content within the Cyberbit platform.
Live team-based exercises will continue to serve as the core, focusing on real-world simulations—such as ransomware and business email compromise scenarios—that improve collaboration under pressure without risk to actual networks. The merger is expected to streamline the training pipeline, supporting talent progression and adapting to the rising use of AI-augmented SOC tools.
Ultimately, the deal reflects growing industry demand for realistic, continuous, and scalable cyber defense training across experience levels.
