Our earlier report that no website is secured and if any hacker coming with the intent to hack it can be successful is proving to be true. The latest report is that of the UPSC website (http://www.upsc.gov.in/) getting hacked. The Union Public Service Commission's official website came under attack by hackers late on Monday night, displaying a Doraemon cartoon on it. The message, "Doraemon Pick up the call," was scribbled across the image and the tune of the anime's Hindi rendition was played when one visited the website. "I M Stewpeed," a line under the picture of Doraemon read.
The cybercrime happened on the day the recruitment process of this year began on the website. Several images posted on Twitter showed popular cartoon character Doraemon with a gun in his pocket. The website was, however, restored within few hours.
The group behind this intention of Cyber Crime is not yet known. This is not the first time a government website has been hacked. The Supreme Court website was reportedly taken down by hackers for several hours in April, minutes after Judge Loya ruling. Earlier this year, websites of home, defence, law and labour ministries were also under attack from suspected Chinese hackers. Mandarin characters were appearing on the website homepage which translates to ‘Zen’, but the website was restored within a short span of time.
