The latest AI Mode update allows users to book appointments, reserve tables, and buy event tickets directly from Google Search, enhancing convenience and interactivity within the platform
Google has unveiled a new set of agentic features for its AI Mode in Search, enabling users to perform real-world actions—such as scheduling wellness appointments, booking beauty services, and purchasing event tickets—directly from search results.
The enhanced AI Mode lets users make complex, conversational queries and receive actionable results. For example, users can say, “Find me two affordable floor tickets for the Shaboozey concert,” and AI Mode will browse multiple booking sites, present curated options, and allow direct access to purchase pages.
Initially launched in March as an experimental feature, AI Mode was designed to help users explore topics through natural conversation. Google first introduced agentic capabilities in August, allowing users to find restaurant reservations tailored to preferences like time, cuisine, and location.
Expanding global reach and functionality
Google said on its Search Labs page that these new capabilities are still in early testing but leverage the company’s existing quality and safety systems to ensure reliable information delivery. “Connecting you with high-quality information you can rely on is our priority in Google Search,” the company stated.
The tool now operates in over 180 countries and integrates with other Google services, including Google Lens and the Canvas feature, which helps users organize notes, study materials, and schedules in a side panel. Users can even ask questions related to on-screen content using Google Lens.
With this update, Google aims to strengthen AI Mode’s competitive edge against rivals like OpenAI’s ChatGPT Search and Perplexity AI, positioning it as a more interactive and utility-driven search companion.
