GMR Airports has launched an AI-powered digital twin platform at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad. It also unveiled the Airport Predictive Operation Centre (APOC) that has airside, landside, and terminal operations integrated into a unified system.
The digital twin platform will be adopted as the standard operating model across all GMR-operated airports, in a phased manner.
Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu; Minister of Roads and Buildings, Government of Telangana Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, launched the platform in the presence of GBS Raju, Chairman - Airports, GMR Group; SGK Kishore, Chief Innovation Officer, GMR Airports; Pradeep Panicker, CEO-GHIAL, and other key stakeholders, and senior officials of GMR Airports.
On the launch, SGK Kishore said, “GMR Group is leading the aviation industry with cutting-edge technological innovations, focusing on significantly enhancing passenger experiences. Our new AI-enabled digital platform and the Airport Predictive Operation Centre (APOC) set new standards in modernizing operations and elevating passenger satisfaction.”
The NextGen Airport Predictive Operation Centre (APOC) , powered by a digital twin platform in-tegrates multiple stakeholders, including airlines, ground handlers, and air traffic control. This leads to collaborative decision-making and situational awareness.
By integrating real-time data and advanced analytics, GMR will ensure smooth passenger flow, reduced wait times, and personalised services, shaping the future of air travel. This will also lead to collaborative decision-making and situational awareness.
