Iris Global aims for Rs.20-crore business by installing Customized Tablets in Taxis

Iris Global Services is aiming to capture Rs.20-crore business this financial year providing customized tablets for taxis running in Delhi NCR and Mumbai.

Iris Global Services is the technology integration arm of Iris Computers, getting full advantage of being back with its very original team comprising founder Sanjiv Krishen, Kamini Talwar and Som Arya, having had steer cleared all obligations with banks and creditors while acquiring it from Inflexion Point.

According to Iris Global CEO Himanshu Chawla, the total order value is to the tune of Rs.3.5 crore for installing tablets in 20,000 taxis in both Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. “Iris Global is a solution-centric company that targets and makes on demand customized solutions for its clients along with necessary technology integration for the last-mile application so that it helps the partners grow their business,” says Chawla.

“Iris solutions cost partners and end-customers almost one-third less than conventional contenders who are not known for customization or much personalized solution. Well-known brands do not customize or build to order any product. Iris does have an edge in this,” Chawla added.

As a part, Iris Global hopes have risen because it has already procured an order to provide user-friendly tablets to be installed in taxis from an Independent Software Vendor working with a major national-level taxi service provider. With their rich experience, deep penetration and countrywide partners Iris Global Services which specializes in BTO (built-to-order) solutions for all kinds of clients in different verticals, including mobility platform has decided to go pan India to provide customized tablets for taxis.

IGS has specially built and customized tablets with GUI (graphical user interface) having graphical icons and visual indicators making the process user-friendly for a customer to interact with the tablet. These tablets are to be installed in the taxis plying under the taxi service provider in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai circles as part of the first stage of the project.
