Jio intros VR headset JioDive

Reliance Jio has introduced its virtual reality (VR) headset called JioDive. Users can enjoy the online IPL 2023 matches in a new way on a virtual 100-inch screen with a 360-degree view of the stadium. Not only IPL 2023 but users can also enjoy other videos on the device for a more immersive feel.
A smartphone-based VR headset, JioDive works with the JioCinema app, which offers features such as different camera angles and multiple languages. The new VR headset is part of Reliance Jio's vision to bring mixed reality experiences to its customers, following the announcement of JioGlass, another headset that promises to offer more advanced features in the future.
The VR headset, JioDive costs Rs 1,299 and it is available in a black colour option. Users can buy the headset from Jio's official website or JioMart.
To use the headset users need a smartphone (Android 9 & above or iOS 15 & above) with a Jio connection, a display size between 4.7 inches and 6.7 inches, and a gyroscope and an accelerometer to use JioDive.
To watch IPL 2023 matches and other content with JioDive, users also need to download and install the JioImmerse app on their smartphones. JioDive VR headset works with smartphones from Samsung, Apple, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Vivo, Xiaomi, Poco, Nokia and others.
The devices is exclusively available for Jio users with a 100-inch virtual screen. It supports both Android and iOS smartphones with a display size between 4.7 and 6.7 inches and a compatible OS version of Android 9 and above or iOS 15 and above.
The devices possesses adjustable lenses with centre and side wheels for a sharper image and optical comfort, a click button for seamless interaction in VR, and a three-way adjustable strap for a perfect fit.
Users can use JioDive by scanning the QR code on the headset's box and installing the JioImmerse app on their phones. Notably, users need to connect to a Jio 4G, 5G, or JioFiber network and log in to the app. Following that users can choose the "Watch on JioDive" option under JioDive in the app and put their phone in the headset between the support clip and lenses. Finally, users can adjust the straps and picture quality for a comfortable and clear view.
