Jupitice Justice Technologies has launched Jupitice DPDP OS, a compliance operating system designed to help Indian enterprises operationalize their obligations under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
The problem it addresses: As India's privacy law shifts from policy to enforcement, personal data inside most enterprises is scattered across CRMs, HRMS platforms, loan systems, cloud storage, vendor systems, and customer-facing apps. DPDP compliance isn't just about privacy notices and consent collection anymore, it requires knowing what data exists, why it's processed, whether consent remains valid, which processors touch it, what deletion or retention obligations apply, and what evidence can be produced on demand during an audit. Jupitice DPDP OS is built to bring all of that into a single connected layer. The stakes are real: non-compliance can trigger penalties of up to ₹250 crore for inadequate security safeguards and up to ₹50 crore for violations of Data Principal rights.
Zero-data-exposure architecture: The platform's core design principle is that it never ingests, stores, or processes actual personal data. Instead, it maps compliance obligations using metadata, field references, and system pointers, while the underlying data stays inside the organization's own infrastructure. Jupitice calls this its Privacy Firewall architecture, meaning the compliance layer itself doesn't become a new attack surface.
Seventeen modules, one lifecycle: The system spans the full DPDP compliance lifecycle: a live Data Inventory & Data Map; a Consent Hub covering seven channels from web to paper; Consent Decision Intelligence that blocks excessive or non-purpose-linked data fields until a DPO signs off; an Explainable Consent Experience for end users; a Purpose Registry and Processing Activity Register; a Data Principal Portal with OTP-based (no password) self-service access; a Rights Desk covering all nine statutory rights including Section 14 Nomination; a Retention & Erasure Engine; a Processor Vault for vendor and DPA management; a Breach Command Centre tracking the 72-hour notification deadline; a Notice Studio; 13 specialized AI Compliance Agents; Trust APIs and SDKs (16 REST APIs, 12 webhooks, support for JavaScript, React, Python, Java, and Flutter); a Legal Intelligence Engine for plain-language compliance queries; a Compliance Dashboard; and an Audit Evidence Room with tamper-evident, cryptographically hashed logs.
AI assists, humans decide: AI is embedded across classification, risk scoring, and drafting tasks, but every critical action, consent decisions, deletions, breach notifications, requires human review and sign-off before execution. No automated action is taken on a Data Principal's or regulator's behalf without authorization.
Built for phased rollout: Enterprises can start with manual, guided workflows and progressively activate API integrations, automated consent syncing, and deletion cascades as their program matures, a design meant to fit within existing procurement, IT, and legal review cycles rather than demanding one large implementation upfront. The platform targets DPOs, compliance and legal teams, and data-intensive sectors including BFSI, NBFCs, insurance, healthcare, e-commerce, telecom, and government bodies.
"The DPDP Act does not ask organisations to be aware of privacy, it asks them to prove it," said Raman Aggarwal, CEO of Jupitice Justice Technologies. He added that every consent, rights request, deletion, and processor instruction must be evidenced, calling it an operational rather than policy exercise, and framed DPDP OS as infrastructure built to deliver that at enterprise scale without personal data ever leaving an organization's own environment.
The launch extends Jupitice's broader portfolio, which includes platforms for online dispute resolution, litigation management, contract lifecycle management, and AI-native legal operations.
