The Unique Identification Authority of India launched the mAadhaar app in 2017. UIDAI has recently said that users will be able to verify other Aadhaar cards using this app even when there is no internet. The government body noted that “all forms of Aadhaar have a secure and verifiable QR Code, which will help users to “easily verify any form of Aadhaar by Scanning the QR Code using the mAadhaar app.”
This feature will help users to identify fake Aadhaar cards used by fraudsters.
UIDAI is promoting the feature before the G20 summit, which is set to be held in India from September 8 to September 10.
Other key features of the mAadhaar app are -
● Updating address in Aadhaar via documentary proof
