Motorola slashes price of Moto E in India
Motorola has announced a price drop for its entry-level Android smartphone Moto E, which was launched with a price tag of Rs.6,999 in India exclusively on Flipkart. To make it the cheapest smartphone in Motorola’s portfolio, the company has slashed its price to Rs.5,999.
Moto E is equipped with a 4.3-inch display with 960x540p resolution. Dual-SIM phone runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OSand can be upgraded to next version of Android. The phone also has a nano-coating that makes the smartphone resistant to splashes, so that it does not get damaged in rain.
Moto E packs a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor, with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage, also supports microSD cards for storage expansion. The budget offering of Motorola sports a 5MP camera on the back, but does not have rear LED flash and front camera. It can access Internet over 2G, 3G and Wi-Fi networks, while data can be transferred via microUSB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.0. The smartphone has a decent 1,980mAh battery.
Making India the testing ground for the software upgrade for the smartphone, Motorola India is inviting members of the Motorola Feedback Network for the Android 5.0 soak test for Moto E.
