MSTD deploys SAS Software to minimize Revenue Losses
For identifying and minimizing the revenue loss through tax evasion, Maharashtra Sales Tax Department (MSTD) has announced its partnership with SAS. With the deployment of SAS analytics software solution, MSTD will leverage data-driven decision-making in devising policies to maximize tax collection through universal coverage of all eligible tax-payers.
Vinay Kargaonkar, Special Inspector General of Police (Vigilance), Maharashtra Sales Tax, said, I hope the cutting-edge tools of data mining and data analysis from SAS would surely help the Department to curb the revenue leakages and enhance the state revenue.
