We want India's youth to look at MyBharat in the morning and not Whatsapp," Union minister Mansukh Mandaviya said.
Speaking at the recently held AIMA's Young Leaders Council summit here, the Minister of Labour & Employment, and Youth Affairs & Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya noted that the present government is youth-oriented and wants to develop India according to the wishes of the country's youth. Union minister Mansukh Mandaviya said the newly created MyBharat digital platform will be turned into a single-window access for jobs, training, networking and business opportunities.
He stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will spend two days in January listening to the winners of a youth competition about defining the Viksit Bharat in 2047. "Viksit Bharat should be built according to your aspirations," he shared.
Addressing the audience, Mandaviya highlighted a transformative shift in the mindset of Indian youth under the current government. He noted that earlier, young Indians aspired to move overseas for higher education and career opportunities. However, the present scenario reflects a reversal of this trend, with Indian youth returning from abroad to explore the vast opportunities being created within the country.
Mandaviya credited this positive change to government initiatives such as Startup India, Stand Up India, and Khelo India, which empower young citizens to pursue their ambitions. These programs not only enable entrepreneurship, innovation, and skill development but also provide a robust ecosystem to support emerging talents across sectors.
Elaborating on the country’s job scenario, the minister pointed to the government’s efforts in ensuring consistent economic growth. He highlighted that India’s 7-8% GDP growth rate has played a crucial role in generating employment opportunities across various industries. By fostering economic expansion and encouraging innovation, the government has created a fertile environment for job creation, supporting the aspirations of millions of young Indians.
The minister’s remarks reinforced the government’s focus on youth-centric policies, underscoring their role in driving India’s growth trajectory and strengthening the country’s position as a global hub for talent and innovation.
