OPPO Reno13 series with MediaTek Dimensity 8350 and AI features launching in India on January 9

OPPO is set to introduce its Reno 13 series smartphones in India on January 9. Ahead of the launch, OPPO has revealed advanced artificial intelligence (AI) features designed to redefine imaging and productivity, along with the inclusion of MediaTek's Dimensity 8350 chipset, promising flagship-level performance.

The Reno 13 series, which includes the Reno 13 and Reno 13 Pro models, was first unveiled in China in November 2024. These devices are packed with AI tools that enhance image clarity, remove reflections, and restore sharpness to blurry photos. Portrait capabilities include facial detail improvement, optimized low-light performance, and even eye correction for closed-eye shots. Productivity tools such as AI-driven text summarization, screen translation, and writing assistance further add to the devices’ appeal.

Central to the Reno 13 series' performance is the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, which OPPO will debut in this lineup. Fabricated using TSMC's second-generation 4nm process, the chipset has been co-optimized by OPPO and MediaTek for exceptional performance and efficiency. Featuring MediaTek’s NPU 780, it delivers 8x faster generative AI processing, supports up to 10 billion parameter language models, and provides a 3.3x improvement in AI tasks. The result is a 20% performance boost with 30% lower power consumption compared to its predecessor.

The chipset’s powerful AI capabilities seamlessly integrate with OPPO’s ColorOS 15 to elevate imaging and gaming experiences. The HyperTone Engine, combined with the Dimensity 8350, ensures faster multi-frame fusion for superior photos. The Mali-G615 GPU provides a 60% boost in peak performance and 55% greater efficiency for gaming. An AnTuTu benchmark score of 1.4 million underscores its dominance in the segment.

Additional features like AI Linkboost and BeaconLink ensure efficient network usage and reliable communication during network outages. These technologies enable seamless one-to-one voice calls even in environments without network coverage, such as underground garages or crowded events.
