Pace Digitek has secured a ₹264.65 crore contract from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for BharatNet network deployment work in the Sikkim Telecom Circle. According to a regulatory filing with stock exchanges, the contract is tied to the government-backed BharatNet programme, which aims to expand high-speed broadband connectivity across rural and remote regions of India. The project includes design, supply, construction, installation, upgradation, operation and maintenance of the middle-mile network infrastructure in Sikkim.
The total contract value stands at ₹2,646.50 million, including GST.
Pace Digitek said the project is expected to be executed over 1,095 days from the appointed date, giving the company a multi-year execution pipeline in the telecom infrastructure segment.
The company also clarified that the order does not involve related party transactions and that promoter group entities have no interest in the awarding authority. The latest project strengthens its credentials in large-scale telecom deployment and expands its footprint in public-sector digital infrastructure programmes.
After the announcement of the BSNL contract, Pace Digitek’s share price traded higher.
Telecom infrastructure companies have continued attracting attention amid rising investments in fibre connectivity, broadband expansion and rural digital access programmes.
Market participants are also closely tracking BharatNet-linked contracts because of their long execution cycles and recurring maintenance opportunities.
