For the promotion of building product entrepreneurial skills amongst the students, Progress Software and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Hyderabad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Ramesh Loganathan, Vice-President – Products and Center Head, Progress Software, Hyderabad signed the MoU with IIT-Hyderabad.
Under this MoU, Progress Software will support academic incubation centers, internship programs, tech talks, etc which help in growing a pool of skilled professionals and will provide students with a collaborative environment that offers a hands-on experience to develop real-world business solutions with their technology. Through this initiative, Progress Software targets to engage fresh talent and make them industry-ready as per the current requirements of the industry. This also enables the institutes to set up a platform wherein innovators and entrepreneurs are provided with a practical industry experience with the help of Progress Software.
Ramesh Loganathan stated, “We have put together what we believe is the industry’s most innovative educational and research programs. With this relationship with IIT-Hyderabad, we aim to further promote relevant research projects, research-oriented start-ups in the institute and enhance the innovation ecosystem through talks, lectures on product architectures and Progress technologies and, if required, we shall also engage the institute’s faculty on a commissioned project.”
This partnership with IIT-Hyderabad will provide an opportunity to the students to work as Summer Interns on their idea prototypes and will enable IIT-Hyderabad’s student-start-ups to use Progress’ solutions and platforms.
