Debuted at CES 2026, Samsung’s 130-inch Micro RGB TV blends sub-micron LED technology, AI-powered picture and sound optimisation, and an art-inspired design, positioning the display as a statement product in the ultra-premium home entertainment segment.
Samsung Electronics has raised the bar for large-format home entertainment with the launch of the world’s first 130-inch Micro RGB television at CES 2026. The new model, R95H, signals the company’s push deeper into the ultra-luxury display market, combining advanced colour science, artificial intelligence and architectural design to redefine how televisions integrate into modern living spaces.
Micro RGB technology redefines colour precision
At the core of the R95H is Samsung’s Micro RGB display architecture, which uses extremely small red, green and blue LEDs, each operating as an independent light source. This approach allows for precise control of brightness and colour at a microscopic level, resulting in higher accuracy and consistency across the massive screen.
Samsung claims the TV delivers full coverage of the BT.2020 colour gamut, producing highly detailed and lifelike visuals across a wide range of content. Image quality is further enhanced by the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, which uses artificial intelligence to optimise contrast, sharpen details and improve tonal balance in real time. To ensure consistent viewing in different environments, the display also features an advanced anti-reflection coating designed to reduce glare without compromising clarity.
Timeless Frame design blends technology and architecture
Beyond performance, Samsung is positioning the R95H as a design object rather than a conventional television. The 130-inch screen is housed within what the company calls the “Timeless Frame,” a refined evolution of its earlier gallery-inspired concepts. The display appears to float within the frame, giving it the look of a large-scale digital canvas or window.
The frame also integrates a custom-tuned audio system developed specifically for the size of the screen. By anchoring sound directly to the image, Samsung aims to deliver a more immersive and spatially accurate audio-visual experience without relying on external speakers.
AI-powered features extend beyond entertainment
Samsung has equipped the R95H with its new Vision AI Companion platform, built on large language models to enable more natural interaction. Users can search and discover content conversationally through Bixby, while specialised AI modes automatically adjust picture and sound settings for scenarios such as live sports.
The TV also incorporates productivity-focused tools, including built-in access to Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity, along with features such as live translation and generative wallpapers. To support long-term usability, Samsung has committed to providing seven years of Tizen OS upgrades, reinforcing the R95H’s positioning as a future-ready flagship display.
