Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) appointed as a strategic partner by imaging and IoT solution partner Lexmark to transform its enterprise applications, accelerate its cloud journey, and scale up its innovation program.
Lexmark has embarked on a journey to transform into a global leader in cloud-enabled imaging and IoT technologies through continuous innovation across enterprise solutions. In line with this vision, Lexmark selected TCS as its partner for a strategic cloud-first transformation initiative.
TCS is moving Lexmark’s complex on-premise workloads to a public cloud and designing a new agile cloud operating model leveraging automation and infrastructure-as-code. As part of this transformation, TCS is building a new future-ready digital core powered by SAP S4/HANA, simplifying business operations and elevating user experience across finance, order to cash, and supply chain functions.
“For over two decades, TCS has been a strategic partner in our digital transformation journey, driving our vision to pioneer innovative imaging and IoT solutions and sustain growth momentum. Our partnership with TCS will help us build an integrated operations model embracing technologies such as cloud and automation powered by TCS Cognix and MFDM, enhancing our business agility, user and customer experience, and productivity,” said Vishal Gupta, Chief Information and Technology Officer, Lexmark.
TCS will design a state-of-the-art business-aware command center that will monitor critical business processes end-to-end across the operations stack, including applications, data, infrastructure, and network. The command center will leverage TCS’ Machine First approach to enable a business outcome-driven, hyper-automated service delivery across business functions. The new operating model will progressively enable self-help and self-heal capabilities for proactive and predictive operations to elevate customer experience, boost business agility and drive operational resiliency.
Furthermore, to enable Lexmark to scale up its innovation initiatives, TCS will establish an Agile Innovation Cloud. TCS’ team of innovators will work closely with Lexmark’s product teams to systematically accelerate the ideation to execution process. This will power innovation at scale, driving faster time to market for new products and services. Finally, TCS will also help Lexmark take its Optra platform, which bridges IoT device data with core business systems, to manufacturing and retail clients worldwide.
“We are delighted to partner with Lexmark on this strategic initiative to transform their applications and infrastructure portfolio driving business agility and faster time to market. Our Agile Innovation Cloud will enable sustained ideation and innovation aligned to Lexmark’s growth and transformation imperatives,” said V Rajanna, Global Head, Technology, Software, and Services Business Group, TCS.
