Videocon Wallcam has announced its new high-end series of IP-based CCTV solution. Backed with the power of Sony's latest CMOS Image sensors – “STARVIS”, this new Videocon WallCam IP-based series is targeted to address the surveillance requirements of Enterprise and Government sector. The series will be completely “Make in India”.
While the conventional CCTV solution delivers a Black and White video footage at night and low conditions using Infrared LEDs, this new Videocon WallCam series is capable of delivering day like, high-quality colour video footage at night and low-light conditions with zero visibility to human eye making video surveillance more practical and user-friendly.
Sony has recently introduced its STARVIS range of back-illuminated CMOS sensors where unlike the front-illuminated-type image sensor, the image in the Sony STARVIS image sensor is acquired through the backside where there are no obstacles such as wiring or circuits, enabling a wider range of light collection on the photodiode, achieving high sensitivity.
Commenting on the new series, Arvind Bali, CEO, Videocon Telecom and Videocon WallCam, said, "We are pleased to announce the rollout of our new and high-end series of IP CCTV cameras to address the growing requirements of Enterprise and Government segment and there is no better occasion to announce the rollout of this series other than the IFSEC, South Asia's largest security, civil protection and fire safety show.”
With the launch of this new high-end series, Videocon WallCam has further enhanced it product range giving it a technological edge.
“The series backed with the latest Sony STARVIS sensors is capable of delivering high- definition colour footage even in night/low-light conditions. This will be a complete Make-in- India solution. We were delighted with the results of the solution during the product development stage, and I can confidently say that the solution will change the way CCTV solution is being used today. This is yet another endeavour from WallCam to enhance our product and solution range to address the entire spectrum of Videocon Surveillance products starting from Entry level to high end solution,” added Bali.
