VideoMeet becomes the first virtual meeting solution to launch backstage
Made in India videoconferencing application, VideoMeet is introducing the ’Backstage’ feature in its application. This feature integration in VideoMeet will make it the only virtual meeting application to have a Backstage platform that will allow users to wait in a safe mode before entering the meeting. Participants are made aware of their waiting time before given access to virtual meeting.
The feature is accessible by the host, till his/her account remains valid. Host can customize their backstage platforms as per their own branding. This feature will find its most utility in personal interviews for corporate, viva sessions for school and college students, one-on-one interaction with patients etc.
Notable use case is when you have an event going on and there are one by one people need to speak and they need to be checked for their audio/video setup protocol and make them comfortable for the virtual environment.
Elaborating on the impact and utility this feature can bring to the users, Dr. Ajay Data, founder of the VideoMeet app said, “Our team has taken care of all the privacy and security concerns associated with the backstage feature, data and credentials of participants would be secure. It makes the process of getting panelists and speakers on stage very easy, remote learning and working extremely convenient and also gives the feel of comfortable experience.”
VideoMeet comes with several interactive features in its free model. One of them being Playback feature, which allows participants to watch the pre-recorded sessions and meetings. It enables the host to manage and schedule the entire playback for smooth communication. The host also has some additional advantages like access to viewers list, and facilitating registration of the participants. The indigenous video-conferencing application has been recording lakhs of meeting minutes on daily basis due to the array of user-friendly features such as background customization, live YouTube Streaming, Waiting rooms, multi-definition viewing, multiple meeting modes, multiple audio support, VNOW- a replica event platform, etc.
VideoMeet’s parent company - VideoMeet Pvt. Ltd, headquartered in Jaipur is led by the IT expert, Dr. Ajay Data. The application was conceptualized when Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology organized a ‘Made in India Videoconferencing Challenge’ to replace foreign apps such as Zoom, Google Meet etc with a homegrown alternative. VideoMeet recently bagged the Rajasthan Innovation Leadership Award, 2020 at an award night endorsed by World CSR Day.
