A set of images circulating on social media falsely allege that Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar voted twice—once in Delhi and again in Bihar. The claim is baseless, and the images have been misrepresented.
The viral post features two photos. One shows Kumar at a polling station in North East Delhi, shared with a caption accusing him of voting there and then again in the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections.
However, an investigation reveals a different story. The Delhi image is from May 25, 2024, and was originally posted by Kumar himself during the Lok Sabha elections. The caption clarified he was visiting booths in Timarpur with an MLA to review the polling process, not to cast his own vote.
The second image references his legitimate participation in the first phase of the Bihar elections on November 6, 2025, where he voted in his hometown of Begusarai. This is a routine exercise of his democratic right, consistent with his past voting record in Begusarai during the 2019 and 2024 general elections.
In conclusion, the claim of double voting is entirely fabricated. The Delhi picture captures a candidate's routine booth visit, not a vote, while the Bihar activity is his legitimate vote in his home constituency. The images are from different events and years, being shared with a misleading narrative.
