Vodafone Idea (Vi) has named Poonam Bhat as its Consumer Digital Delivery Lead. Before this Bhat was the Lead IT Manager driving digital initiatives for distributive trade markets in Hindustan Unilever Limited, the telco said in a statement on social networking site Linkedin.
“Poonam has joined Vodafone Idea Limited as Executive Vice President (EVP) - Digital. She is a seasoned professional with deep expertise in Digital Strategy and Transformation, Product Management, Technology Solutions, and Delivery of Global IT Programs,” it said.
It has been reported earlier that former Reliance Communications (RCom) group chief technology officer (CTO) Gulshan Khurana is likely to replace Mudit Agarwal, Executive Vice President - Technology Strategy who quit Vodafone Idea Limited.
Khurana brings with him nearly a three-decade-long experience in the telecom industry and started his career as an engineer with the state-run Center for Development of Telematics (C-DoT).
Joined the telco in November 2016 as Senior Vice President - Technology Planning, Agarwal was elevated to the rank of executive vice president - Technology Strategy & Planning and was driving edge cloud platform and next-generation planning.
The company has been on a hiring spree and recently appointed Sheena Joseph as the vice president of customer service of enterprise business to further strengthen its enterprise focus in the country.
