To ensure protection of mobile consumers' digital content while travelling, Western Digital (WD) has announced availability of portable hard drive series, My Passport Ultra which are designed by the combination of additional layers of data protection with USB 3.0 connectivity.
My Passport Ultra-portable hard drives have been built in WD SmartWare Pro backup software with Dropbox integration, hardware encryption and password protection to safeguard against unauthorized drive access.

My Passport Ultra-portable hard drives are protected by a 3-year limited on-site warranty and are currently available in 500GB and 1TB capacities at electronic retailers nationwide. The MSRP of the hard drive with 1TB capacity is Rs.6,299 (including taxes). These drives are available in black, red, blue and titanium colours. A protective pouch is included with the My Passport Ultra to help shield it from the daily knocks encountered by today's mobile consumer.
