Do tell us more about your company and the area of work that you as a company excel in?
Wheebox is the fastest growing online skill Assessment Company headquartered in Gurgaon India and operations in South Africa and United Kingdom. Wheebox helps clients globally to find right talent for right role as that supports organizational growth and stability. Wheebox has assessed over 500 thousand users and created a niche in the market amongst the industry. One of their flagship product Wheebox Employability Skill Test has assessed over 2, 00,000 fresh graduates from 2200 campus in association with Confederation of Indian Industry for “India Skill Report”. India’s Largest Employability test has been endorsed by Industry, Academia &Department of technical education & Department of electronics and IT.
How as an online assessment company do you keep checks on the regular frauds that take place online? What is the importance of an online assessment tool?
Wheebox has developed innovative solution called iWatch that can remotely track every mouse click of test-taking students. It is an advance online-based proctoring solution from Wheebox which is used to monitor candidate’s activity. Eagle-eyed humans at computers can monitor faraway students via webcams and screen sharing using Internet connections. Automated checking of Photo IDs ensure that the test-taker is the student who has registered for the assessment.
How does the rise of MOOCs serve you as an opportunity?
India has seen the emergence of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) and is now a perfect destination for MOOCs. University enrollment in India is huge and growing. It surpassed the U.S.'s enrollment in 2010 and became second only to China that year. India is full of young people who possess a high comfort level with technology. Indians are among the most aggressive users of MOOCs. Of the 2.9 million registered users in March, more than 250,000 were from India, second only to those from the U.S. With such huge opportunity, MOOCs are not without negative implications. While cases of examination malpractice is not new, but on a online platform there is a huge challenge and concern faced by educators and administrators of devising new techniques to protect the integrity of exams. Wheebox new technology iWatch addresses these issues.
