Xiaomi's newest skin for Android smartphones, called HyperOS, has been gradually applied to a number of compatible models. The business has now released the next iteration of the HyperOS upgrade for Redmi and Xiaomi smartphones that are compatible in the country. The update is available for Xiaomi 11 Lite, Xiaomi 11i, Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, and Xiaomi 11T Pro.
The new update will not only power smartphones but also smart home devices and even electric vehicles like the new Xiaomi SU7.
In a post on social media platform X, the company shared its plan to launch HyperOS for Q2 2024.
Announcing the new rollout plan, Xiaomi mentioned in its tweet, "The wait is over – #XiaomiHyperOS rollout update for Q1 2024 is here, promising a seamless user experience on your favorite #Xiaomi and #Redmi devices. And that's not all - stay tuned to our social media channels for the Quarter 2, 2024 rollout updates."
Users can expect that HyperOS update will enhance system performance, task switching, and message delivery. The update also optimises storage usage, reducing the space occupied by the system and speeding up tasks such as OTA updates compared to MIUI 14.
Also, new features like lock screen customisations, revamped control center, icons, and fonts are introduced in HyperOS. For productivity, there is a Workstation Mode for tablets, and enhanced interconnectivity features like viewing the phone's screen on a tablet. With the Xiaomi Smart Hub, users can manage and control smart home devices conveniently.
HyperOS made its debut along with Xiaomi 14 series phones launched in China. The brand new operating system has been crafted to address the complexities of managing diverse device ecosystems.
