Schneider Electric IT Business India has announced an increase in price across all its products as an outcome of the depreciating value of the rupee. The increase is expected to be between 5% and 8% per cent across the product portfolio, depending on the SKU’s form, size and usage of raw material.
This year, price increase has been observed across multiple industries due to huge impact made by the steep 12% depreciation of the rupee in the last 90 days.
Nikhil Pathak, Country General Manager & Vice-President India, Schneider Electric IT Business, said, In order to keep our products affordable to our customers, we have tried our best to absorb most of the cost increases. However, in order to be able to maintain our superiority in technology and world-class products, we are now forced to pass on a small percentage of our input costs to them. I am confident our customers will continue to invest in our products and solutions that will ultimately provide them a greater return through cutting-edge, energy-efficient technology.
