TECNO PHANTOM V Fold2 5G and V Flip2 5G win German Design Awards

TECNO has secured two “Excellent Product Design” awards at the German Design Awards 2025 for its PHANTOM V Flip2 5G and PHANTOM V Fold2 5G smartphones. Recognized in the Computer and Communication category, the awards highlight TECNO’s efforts in combining advanced technology with functional design.

The German Design Awards, organized by the German Design Council, are considered one of the most respected recognitions in global design. This year’s competition received entries from 59 countries, reflecting its international appeal and competitiveness.

The PHANTOM V Fold2 5G impressed judges with its innovative foldable design, which includes a 6.42-inch outer screen and a 7.85-inch 120Hz LTPO main display. It is powered by a 5750mAh battery with 70W fast charging. The Rippling Blue edition, designed in collaboration with German brand LOEWE., features sustainable packaging made from recycled materials.

The PHANTOM V Flip2 5G was praised for its design, including the ThruPool Cover Screen inspired by infinity pools. This model integrates a 3.64-inch outer screen and an ultra-slim 120Hz main display. Features such as the Gemini-integrated Ella AI Assistant and FreeCam for hands-free photography further enhance functionality.

The jury commended TECNO’s commitment to innovation, stating, “The TECNO PHANTOM V Fold2 5G exemplifies the seamless integration of technology and design, setting a benchmark in the smartphone market.”

TECNO’s performance builds on its previous success at the German Design Awards. Last year, the PHANTOM V Flip 5G received a Special Mention for its unique circular screen design. This year’s dual victories reinforce TECNO’s reputation as a leader in smartphone design.
